ABOUT
Co-designing and co-creating tangible and embodied interactive systems to expressively explore culture.
//
Previously, I studied Psychology (BSc) at the University of Toronto with a minor in African Studies (2018). During this time, my love for understanding the human mind and discovering culture culminated into a love for experience design for cultural exploration.
Once in the Master of Digital Media at Toronto Metropolitan University (Ryerson University), I co-designed an augmented reality application for researchers to access historical artifacts. This project, Tangible Cultural Analytics (2018 - present), is being developed in the Synaesthetic Media Lab.
Currently, I am a 2nd year PhD student in Media Design and Innovation with continued supervision by Dr. Ali Mazalek. My research question investigates: In what ways do tangible and embodied interactive environments foster creative expression, design, and collaboration between children learning about cultural heritage?
